Cobralite Retro Reflective Paint | Reflective coating system

Cobralite Retro Reflective Paint

 PRODUCT APPLICATION

APPLICATION

  • Protect surrounding surfaces from overspray and avoid spraying in very windy, dusty conditions. Overspray can carry a significant distance. SHAKE CAN VIGOROUSLY for one minute after mixing ball is heard. Do not strike can. Hold can 12-16 inches from surface. Be sure the nozzle opening is facing the surface. Apply in steady back and forth motion. Apply 2-3 light coats, 1-2 minutes apart. Avoid forming a wet coat on the substrate. A heavy wet film will cover the reflective glass beads and reduce the reflectivity of the finish. Important: Shake can approximately every 4 seconds for every 15 seconds of use.

DRY AND RECOAT TIMES

  • Reflective Finish will dry to touch in 45 minutes and dries to handle in one hour at 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity when applied a 2 wet mils (50µ). Allow more time in cooler temperatures. Do not apply to surfaces that exceed 200°F (93°C) or galvanized metal.

CLEAN-UP

  • Clean valve immediately after use by turning can upside down and depressing spray button for 3-5 seconds (Some paint will be sprayed out, so be careful to not inadvertently spray yourself or other objects).

CLOGGING

  • If clogging develops, twist off spray button and clean in thinner. DO NOT INSERT PINS OR ANY OTHER OBJECT INTO CAN VALVE OPENING. Replace spray button carefully, be sure the tip is facing away from you. Properly discard empty container. Do not burn or place in trash compactor. Empty container can be recycled. The loss of glass beads in the finish can occur with normal service life of the coating. To maintain optimal reflectivity, the finish will need to be replenished periodically.

 DESCRIPTION AND USES
  • A clear semi-transparent, glass bead reflective aerosol coating that reflects light for visibility and safety in the dark.

  • Apply as a clear coat over an existing finish to produce a white reflectance when illuminated by a light source such as car headlights in the dark. Reflective Finish can be applied on metal, wood, plastic and more.

  • Best performance is achieved when the Reflective Finish is applied over a dark background.
